Are silky sharks dangerous?

Silky sharks are wild apex predators and should be treated with respect, but they are not aggressive toward humans. Our guides have conducted hundreds of in-water encounters without incident. Proper behavior in the water is briefed to every guest before entry.

Is shark diving in Cancun available year-round?

Yes. Unlike whale shark tours which only run June to September, our silky shark snorkeling operates 365 days a year. Silky sharks are resident in these waters and are not a seasonal species.

Do I need a scuba diving certification for the shark tour?

No certification is required. This is a snorkeling experience at the surface. We provide all equipment and no prior diving or snorkeling experience is needed — if you can swim, you can do this.

The $1,299 USD private charter includes full snorkeling gear for all guests, certified bilingual shark diving guides, professional underwater photos of your encounter, a pre-dive safety briefing, and an Emergency First Responder certified crew onboard.

What is the cancellation policy for the shark tour?

Full refund for cancellations made at least 48 hours before your scheduled departure. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule in the event of unsafe sea conditions, in which case a full refund or free rebooking is offered.
